Wants sex, a relationship, what ever…And he is mad. A one seprate to call our own. That it was too bittersweet for me? He doesn’t remember Catherine at first but it becomes quickly spencre that she is indeed pregnant by him. The book was written in and initially I was concerned about it feeling dated.

She only wanted enough to care for the baby. It felt to read it again.

Then all of a sudden someone changes their mind at the end and everyone is happy together.

The Hellion / Separate Beds / Hummingbird

Why do you even want him, you crazy bitch????! But I remember that I loved the book. And lets face it, what women rally can give any part of herself without emotions getting attached? As the weeks go by and they settle into their new home, Clay tries to make the best of their marriage.

Just reread it again and again I found myself so drawn into the story that I didn’t want to do anything else until I finished spejcer.

Separate Beds by LaVyrle Spencer

I was so sad, so so sad after reading that. I’m thoroughly disappointed in Ms. Happy happy the end.

Again, it is Clay who makes the correct observation. Apr 08, Dinjolina rated it really liked it Shelves: Coming from a loving secure home, he is a warm and charming person.

Marriage of convenience, one night stand, oops a baby, we must live together geds pretend to be in love, oops we’re falling in love, yikes I don’t wanna f I read this book when I was a teen and fell in love with the marriage of convenience trope.

Clay Forrester is the son of a pair wealthy and loving parents. I read this book the first time like 20 years ago. In Separate Bedstwo attractive, headstrong people meet-and fireworks ensue. I didn’t buy that the heroine would want him back after that situation. Re-reading it all these years later really had a profound effect on me.

The wedding of Clay Forrester and Catherine Anderson was the social event of the season. But this is not your typical accidental pregnancy, forced marriage situation. Clay and Catherine had a blind date.

The hero goes to the heroine in some way or the other and they get back together. Bagaimana kalau diterima kembali, tetapi di kemudian hari, Clay kembali bosan dan pindah ke pelukan wanita lain yang langsung bisa menerimanya? Nice and ever so meaningless. Setelah itu Clay bisa lega kembali ke sisi Jill Magnusson, pacarnya selama ini. This was made very apparent throughout the course of the awful marriage where because of her upbringing she had no wpencer how to relate to people comfortably.

Clay’s trying to do the right thing and keep his future untarnished, Catherine is trying to do what’s best under the most dire of circumstances. Unlike Clay, it’s not easy for her to show affection. Added by 1 of our members.

But Clay point out that ‘on order to be loved you have to be loveable’. But when Clay and Jill were on a relationship break, Clay went on a blind date with Catherine Anderson, who seems an unlikely match for him. To feel them threatening–and here, of all places! It had some saving graces, like the girls in Horizons. Catherine annoyed me a bit but I suppose she had to stand her ground. I found it not only evoking feelings of nostalgia but genuinely enjoying myself on a sort of trip down memory lane.

Sometime there are certain hollowness, certain depths where lurk this hunger to be loved, I totally understood Catherine and I tried to understand Clay too.

We hope to hold the slipping of sand and want to remain in the make believe world a lil longer but what we dream of most is love. Return to Book Page.
